Welcome to the Victoria and Albert Museum London, the world’s largest museum of decorative arts and design!

Since medieval times, the city of London has been a major global economic and cultural centre. The highly cosmopolitan city is by far one of the world’s largest financial centres and provides significant global contributions to many areas such as politics, entertainment, fashion, media, education and arts. For the traveller the city boasts an absolute plethora of sights and sounds that includes World Heritage Sites such as the Tower of London, the Royal Botanic Gardens, the Palace of Westminster and Westminster Abbey. And of course, for lovers of the arts, there’s no better place in the planet than London’s Victoria and Albert Museum.

Named after Prince Albert and Queen Victoria, the Victoria and Albert Museum is by far the biggest museum of decorative arts and design. The museum, which draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, was officially opened in 1857 and was originally called the South Kensington Museum.

Often known as the V&A, the Victoria and Albert Museum showcases an astonishing collection of over 4.5 million items in 145 galleries spanning more than 5000 years of art. The museum is divided in to four departments namely the Furniture, Textiles and Fashion; Asia, Word & Image and Sculpture, Metalwork, Ceramics and Glass. The glass, ceramic, costumes, textiles, ironwork, jewellery, silver, furniture, sculpture, drawings and medieval object collection featured at the museum is easily the most comprehensive collection on this planet! The world’s biggest assortment of post classical sculpture, a comprehensive collection from the renaissance period, and the Asian section of the museum are top draws for visitors at the V&A. In fact the Asian section of the museum features some of the world’s rarest artefacts from China, Japan and the Middle Eastern Islamic states.

The hard-rocking Cult have come along way from the early Native American stylings of Dreamtime and the dodgy goth tendencies evident on their classic album, Love. Blame Rick Rubin, who helmed Electric and steered them down the rocky road to metal heaven. This best-of collection brings together tracks from the span of their career, and is a worthy testament to their rites of passage. “She Sells San…

Buckcherry reestablish their status as one of the most raucous and delightfully dirty-minded acts in the industry today with 15, a truly bombastic rock & roll blast. Skeptics who attributed the success of Sheryl Crow’s 1994 debut, Tuesday Night Music Club, to a combination of Crow’s seductive good looks and a shrewd choice of collaborators have been effectively silenced by the range and depth of songs and performances on her self-produced, pointedly self-titled sequel. Playing guitars and keyboards, and building a triumphant, layered vocal style, Crow is tough…
